Oh deary deary me! it's been a long time that I haven't written. (And then it was longer still, because of the guilt I felt at not writing, and the aversion I felt to apologising for so long a break.)

In what way do I excuse my behaviour? Well, although it lacks refined sensibilities, and all gentlemanlyness, I must admit there is some truth, that the fault is of a feminine nature. Who is she? Yonca, a Violin student from Turkey. As of yet, my heart is not so deeply involved with her, but I feel happy in our time together, and always glad of her company. So... we spend a good deal of time together, and I have little remaining which is used for this website.

An aside: I thought myself so Clever, when I took the baggage tags from past flights, cut them up, and put little letters on them. - All that, because I wanted a Dvorak keyboard. That was some 2 months ago, I'd estimate. And now, all but 12 of them have come off. (This means that I have to remember where each letter was, and my keyboarding has gotten a bit slower, with the trial and error that I now go through each time I want to type a P, J, C, B, M, W or other not-so-frequent letters.)

Getting back to my life... Let me see...

A couple weeks back, I went with Yonja to a concert she played in (Not Carmina Buranna, that was longer ago...) this was another one, in Herford (Some little German town.) And during the free time I had there (While she had to rehearse,) I took my cameras to the tallest church, and took some photos. And it was quite lovely. The care-taker was very friendly too, and was happy to explain details to me, and offered to turn more lights on every time I took a picture. He also offered to take me up into the tower, to take a picture over the whole town, which I couldn't accept, because my film was too fast, and couldn't deal with the direct sunlight. I hope that I will find time to go back there though, and have more time to see it all. (I particularly liked the 13th C. stained glass, and a 16th c. reconstruction of an earlier wooden alter (or some other church thingy) done in wood, and decorated green.

What else has been passing in this life? In the theater, there was the last performance of "Das land des Lachens" -an Operette thingy, which we had a little bit of dancing in. There was the birthday of our French colleague, whom I got books for (through a connection I have, and also one from Luxembourg, when i was there, 2 weeks ago.) -Tolkin's "Silmarilion", Pratchett's "The Gnome series" (that's Truckers, Diggers, and Wings) and a book of Margaret Atwood that I'd never heard of.

And today is the birthday of my Greek colleague.

And there is a street theater festival outside my window, that I MUST go and watch.

Bye!!!

Oh bother: it's in the other direction down the street, and I can't see it from my window. So, a few more words (if I can think of them.)

My flute "Vahtramäe" is nice, and wooden, and just a little hard to play the lowest note. The name comes from the farm in Estonia, where I first played on such a flute, and became enamoured of the instrument.

*1 hour pause*

That street theater was mobile, and came beneath my window, where I became quite enchanted with it. It was some off the wall French group, and thoroughly, Thoroughly enjoyable. So I followed them, when they moved on -and ended up with one of the players on my shoulders, holding a speaker, playing odd music. I would have invited them to "Bus station" tonight, but they have to leave, to perform something in France tomorrow.

And now I will eat, and prepare for my performance. So... until next time, (whenever that may be.)
