Poetry of SlyM
My Propsal to Pamela Münch
When nighttime floods all heaven with it's tide
There's no place in the world I'd rather be
Than lying by your simply soothing side.
That perfect presence, when you're close to me;
Completely comforting, calm company,
Is what I dream of, long for, every night,
All warm in bed, when I've turned off the light.
I smile when I can hear you, and when our two hands entwine.
I'm happy when I'm near you, more than writing could define.
I read this poem for you, in the hope that you will see
How completely I adore you, Schatz, oh Schnuggelpuppalie.
For all my years I wished that I could find
A chance for a relationship to start.
Some girls had beauty, some were bright, some kind
But even those that loved me, for their part
Produced no magic feeling in my heart;
There wasn't one form all who I have known
That made my inner life seem less alone.
I smile when I can hear you, and when our two hands entwine.
I'm happy when I'm near you, more then writing could define.
I read this poem for you, in the hope that you will see
How completely I adore you. Schatz, you mean the world to me.
With you my feelings played a different role:
There wasn't desperate passion in the night;
There was a closeness, calling to my soul.
The chance of losing that, was such a fright
I had to wait 'till certain it was right
Before I dared to offer you a kiss,
Or say, "You are my love, my life, my bliss."
I smile when I can hear you, and when our two hands entwine.
I'm happy when I'm near you, more then writing could define.
I read this poem for you, in the hope that you will see
How completely I adore you, Schatz. I love you endlessly.
Because it pains me when we separate,
Because I'm sure: together we should stay,
I've got a question to communicate,
But one you needn't answer right away.
It's best to think for longer than a day,
As it could change forever how we live;
Our lives, forever, could be what we give.
I love you and I fear you, for to me you are divine.
I wish to stay here near you, will you promise to be mine?
I lay my life before you, and go down upon my knee
- Pamela, I implore you, Liebchen, will you marry me?
