Well...

Continuing from yesterday's theme, this is another religious questioning. So... if you want to skip it, you can. And, if you haven't read my entry from yesterday, then, I give you my little disclaimer paragraph again now:

I need to think about some things. But first, I need to explain a little: My sister has turned to religion. She has opened her heart to Jesus, and has tuned herself to the Lord. (More or less; I don't know if I'm explaining it properly.) And it is important to me, that if she ever reads this, she understand that I am in no way doubting her, and the love she's found, I am just doubting generally.

And... the topic for thought today is: "Jesus is in me and on me."

It was in the book American Psycho, (Which was fairly well written, but way Way too violent and gruesome for my tastes,) that I was presented with an interpretation of Christianity, which would be best exemplified by that line.

This idea is that the Men wanted to be the submissive sexual partner; they wanted someone to screw Them. (And you can see how this phrase fits that interpretation.) They wanted to be possessed, and held, and they created The Lord, to do all that. (Now, I'm not saying that I agree with this in the least, I just thought it was an interesting idea.)

My thought now, was to apply this sort of idea to women.

In this land of 30 or more years ago, with the forced submission, and the harsh gender roles, the woman's sexuality was not simply repressed, it was in ways, right out forbidden. There is Still a vague feeling in some people that it is obscene for a woman to enjoy sensuality. And This is SO unnatural. In all my experiences, women are more sensually sensitive than men. They are Better at feeling. And it is completely natural. (And I'm not being so clear...)

Unlike the typified Man, women tend to be deeply affected by sensuality, -by sex. It tends to be a much more spiritual experience to them. It is not only their body, but all their feelings, and their soul which takes part.

Then, particularly in the past, the physical act of sex would be unrewarding for them. It was entirely based on the man's satisfaction, and there was no room for change. (After all, it was obscene to think about the women enjoying it; they were simply doing their duty.) So, I imagine that the women were left with a Spiritual unfulfillment. That this deeply moving experience, which was a part of their soul, was often denied.

And doesn't it seem natural then, that they should find a release? If they can not have spiritual enjoyment through the flesh, then they went right to the source; They took direct satisfaction, by... sexually giving themselves to their Lord. It was the total surrender, and the possession... and they were free to enjoy it, and to revel in it, and to be spiritually satisfied.

Well... that's my thought. And I don't even know if *I* think it's right... but it seems like it could be plausible. And once more, I make my closing statement:

I apologize for the offence that this could no doubt give many people. At least I am considering God, and the Christian Religion.
