Some dissatisfaction
Dear _____(The above names)_____,
I left Canada 8 years ago to follow my career as a ballet dancer. I assure you that I was overjoyed when I'd saved up enough money to buy a computer and resume listening to CBC Radio Two over the Internet. The programming was of a high standard and it maintained in me a feeling of connection with my homeland. The programming changes in the last year were somewhat disturbing, but mostly left me with the shows I love.
My main dissatisfaction is with the disbanding of the Radio Orchestra. They are a part of my culture, a part of my heritage, and a point of national pride. Germany has many Theatres, Symphony Orchestras, Dance Companies, and a few Radio Orchestras as well; Things that Canada has but a few of. My pride is that these few in Canada are of the highest standard, full of ambition and creativity. They are truly the largest contributers to the Canadian cultural landscape.
I sincerely hope that a way will be found to maintain the CBC Radio Orchestra, one of the few gems of our country whose value should be clear to all.
With deepest concern,
Matthew Sly
